One sign of facial aging is loss of facial volume. The youthful face has a smooth appearance without noticeable transitions between facial structures. If you are not ready to have surgery, or are not a candidate for a surgical facelift, you may be a candidate for a liquid facelift.
Liquid Facelift
What is a liquid facelift?
A liquid facelift is a non-surgical procedure that uses an individualized combination of dermal fillers to address your facial cosmetic concerns. Depending on your specific goals, you can get dermal fillers that restore facial volume, contour your cheeks and chin, add volume to the lips, and soften fine lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are made of the active ingredient hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring gel responsible for facial youthfulness and smoothness. Many of the signs of aging on your face, such as the loss of volume and wrinkles, occur due to the loss of hyaluronic acid. During a liquid facelift, various dermal fillers restore your skin’s hyaluronic acid reserves in strategically targeted locations. Each dermal filler has a unique formulation and consistency, and is suitable for different treatment areas. Each liquid facelift treatment plan is designed by Dr. Vial, and is unique to you.

How long do liquid facelift results last?
Liquid facelift provides instant results. Your face will look more smooth and voluminous. The results last for 8-24 months depending on the product and injection location. Injections can be repeated to maintain results.
What happens during a liquid facelift? How does a liquid facelift work?
Your liquid facelift process starts with a consultation with Dr. Vial. He carefully examines your face, discusses your goals and expectations, and reviews your medical history. Based on his assessment, he selects the ideal dermal fillers and injectables for you, and curates the treatment plan.
Your skin is cleansed and numbed with topical anesthesia. Dr. Vial marks the treatment areas on your face. Finally, the chosen dermal fillers are injected into the targeted treatment areas, such as the midface, lips, chin, jawline, and under-eye, using ultrafine needles. The injections usually take minutes.
What is the recovery process
after a liquid facelift?
Liquid facelift does not involve an extended recovery process. Recovery typically involves slight increased post injection swelling that resolves in 1-2 weeks. You may need makeup if you develop bruising. You can resume your daily activities and work immediately, but you should avoid strenuous activities for 24 hours. You should also keep your head elevated for a few hours and avoid any additional facial treatments.
What are the side effects of liquid facelifts?
Dr. Vial prioritizes safety above all else. Dr. Vial will highlight potential side effects and complications during your initial consultation. Complications are rare and can generally be avoided if you select a highly-trained and skilled provider.
The complications unique to liquid facelift that are reported nationally include, but are not limited to:
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Infection (rare)
- Visible filler material (rare)
- Loss of vision (very rare)
